WKRP-LP, or 101.9 WKRP is a community low power FM ("LPFM") radio station currently under construction in Raleigh, North Carolina. The station was licensed November 30, 2015 and is in signal transmission testing. It is tentatively scheduled to commence broadcasting on December 5, 2015. ==History== Capital Area Team Sports, Inc., a non-profit organization that to that point had operated for nearly two decades as an organizer of amateur sports programs and competitions, was granted a construction permit by the Federal Communications Commission to build WKRP-LP on March 18, 2014.〔http://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/app_det.pl?Application_id=1624266〕 The permit for WKRP was the first LPFM construction permit to be granted in Raleigh since WRLY-LP over a decade earlier, and in June 2014 the parent organization changed its name to reflect its expanded mission, to Oak City Media, Inc. Though use of two other call signs (WNQQ and WASP, respectively) had been intended for the station based on availability, upon being awarded its construction permit Oak City's management learned that WKRP was available and opted to secure it as an homage to the 1978-1982 television series ''WKRP in Cincinnati.'' The station is currently scheduled to sign-on with its terrestrial signal as "101.9 WKRP,〔http://www.wkrpfm.com〕" with an accompanying live internet stream of its programming via www.wkrpfm.com. Station studio construction was completed in September 2015, with its transmitter, antenna and associated equipment installed in mid-November. The station received its license on November 30, 2015. The station's range will include areas between the Beltline and I-540, and between Falls of Neuse Road and Milburnie Road.〔 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「WKRP-LP (FM)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
